Membership Application - IPA


Based on the June 2010 Council Meeting, Membership to the International Permafrost Association is open to all individuals who have a scientific, practical or general interest in any aspect of permafrost and periglacial research and engineering.

Membership is free but a voluntary contribution of 20 € (10 € for PYRN members) is encouraged.


Privileges of membership include:


  • Use of the website advanced features, including access to contact information for registered members
  • Access to all IPA online publications
  • Automatic registration to the PERMALIST mailing list
  • Reduced rate on subscription to the journal Permafrost and Periglacial Processes
  • Eligibility to IPA prizes and awards
  • Attendance at all meetings of the IPA (with a reduced registration fee where applicable).
  • Privileged access to IPA Data products
